Dogs are man's best friends. A life without dogs is unimaginable for many - this also applies to us! As we love dogs, their safety is very important to us.
Like you, we like to spend a lot of time with our dogs. Depending on daily routine or season, this means that our daily walks must take place at dusk or in the dark. This makes it all the more important that we make our dogs visible in the dark to ensure their safety and that of our fellow human beings.
We have taken on this task since 2003 and developed the LED dog collar LEUCHTIE®, which is manufactured exclusively in Germany. Since then it is permanently developed with our dogs.

Visibility you can rely on
Thanks to our innovative technology and the use of high-quality materials, our LEUCHTIE light collars are not only exceptionally durable, but also very powerful and highly luminous. Due to the extremely bright permanent light, your dog is clearly visible not only in the dark, but already at dusk - even over long distances. We deliberately do without a hectic flashing light or other settings out of conviction. We do not want to unsettle your own dog or other dogs. In addition, many dog owners also find a flashing light collar very disturbing.
Therefore, the very bright permanent light and the high quality of the luminous collar reliably ensure the safety of your dog and our fellow human beings - both when going for a walk and in traffic.
What is LEUCHTIE?
The LED collar LEUCHTIE is an extraordinarily robust, 100% waterproof and therefore particularly durable glow in the dark collar. Thanks to its extremely bright continuous light, your dog can be clearly seen from a long distance (several hundred meters) and all sides from the beginning of dusk. Thus, your dog is reliably protected from danger in the darkness.
Our illuminated collar LEUCHTIE was sold under the brand name Glowdoggie in America, but since the former distributor has closed down we're happy to currently also supplying the many customers in Canada and the USA directly. Our illuminated dog collars are available in different models, tailored to your personal requirements, and in many intense fluorescent colors. We also offer eye-catching color combinations as well as the possibility to configure a LEUCHTIE dog safety light for your dog according to your individual wishes.

For larger dogs, you will get two collars with different operating modes to choose from: An LEUCHTIE night light with batteries and one for charging via USB.
In battery operation, the LEUCHTIE Plus is available. Thanks to the extremely long burn time of approx. 100 h, it has been our bestseller for years. This glow collar works with two low-cost standard AAA batteries.
USB rechargeable we have developed the LEUCHTIE Easy Charge with a very long runtime per charge: It only needs to be recharged once a week overnight to keep the extreme brightness constant.
All models of the luminous dog collar LEUCHTIE are characterized by various technical innovations:
First, our glowing collar is particularly easy to use in everyday life: It is simply placed over the dog's head as a closed ring and switches on and off automatically thanks to our sensor electronics. This offers many advantages: We can simply omit a sensitive on and off switch, for example. In addition, simply slipping the collar over the dog’s head in closed state prevents water and dirt from getting inside and components from wearing out.
Secondly, a special electronic control system achieves both extreme brightness and an unusually long lighting duration.
Both of these factors contribute decisively to the fact that our illuminated collar for dogs is extremely robust and stable. It withstands wild romping or rolling around without any problems and is extremely insensitive to dirt and absolutely waterproof (not only splash-proof). This makes our dog collars very durable and, in combination with the extremely bright LEDs, provides your dog with reliable protection in the dark.
Due to these convincing features the LED dog collar LEUCHTIE is not only used when walking at night but also in the professional sector, e. g. in many rescue dog teams as well as with service dogs and hunting dogs. Because of the extremely bright light, the dogs equipped with LEUCHTIEs are not only visible from a very long distance and from all directions, but can also be easily distinguished from each other based on different colors and color combinations.
LEUCHTIE – handcrafted in Germany
Already since 2003 we have been crafting LEUCHTIEs in our small manufactory in Weiden, Bavaria, completely by hand. For this we use self-developed, highly specialized tools.
We place the highest demands not only on the production, but also on the material used: Almost all the installed parts are custom-made products developed together with our regional suppliers.
This makes LEUCHTIE stand for highest-quality LED collars ensuring the maximum functionality.
Ever since 2003 we continue to develop and refine LEUCHTIE with our own dogs and in cooperation with rescue dogs units – obviously in practice, not desk-based.
